Commonly used by Australian landscapers, Lomandra is a genus of perennial herbs in the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Lomandroideae . There are 50 species, all of which are native to Australia; two of them also extend into New Guinea and New Caledonia. Over the years Lomandra’s have been hybridised to improve not only their appearance but also improve the plants ability to survive in an ever changing climate. These new Lomandra hybrids are produced in-vitro from tissue culture to keep them uniform and free from disease.
Do you have a ‘new’ variety of Lomandra that you would like us to propagate in-vitro for you? Please feel free to fill out our obligation free contract propagation form.
